Vitamins & minerals

The therapeutic use of specific vitamin and mineral supplementation to correct deficiencies, as guided by clinical presentation and/or laboratory testing is an important part to restoring metabolism and normalizing cell activity within the body.

EVIDENCE-BASED NUTRACEUTICALS

Also known as functional nutrients, phytonutrients, or medical foods. Pharmaceutical-grade single nutrients and/or formulations are chosen based on researched efficacy to support the function of an organ, cellular, or biochemical process within the body OR to address a pathological process within the body. Examples include the use of curcumin extracted from Turmeric to combat inflammation, or the use of probiotics to restore the health of the small and large intestines.

Herbal Medicine

The use of plants in the form of tea infusions, tinctures, tablets, or capsules have a long history of use to treat a wide variety of conditions by addressing the root cause, stimulating natural processes (e.g. digestive secretions), and alleviating symptoms.

Acupuncture

The use of very thin needles which are inserted into specific points on the body to regulate "Qi", our vital energy. The practice of acupuncture has been around for over two thousand years and has proven to be very effective for pain relief, fertility programs, and a wide variety of chronic illnesses.

Wellness CounselLing

Having an active listener present through your journey can often be the most significant medicine one can receive.  Always with an open and empathic approach, counselling is helpful for working through everyday stressors, anxiety and depression, and life management challenges.
