Become a Patient

Welcome! It’s a pleasure to meet you!  As you get started with Naturopathic Medicine, it’s only natural to have a few questions!

Our role in YOUR health:

We provide excellence in virtual natural health care.

We are proud to offer high-quality, personalized virtual Naturopathic Medicine to patients in Ontario. If you are new to virtual medicine read more below about what to expect. (Please note that for virtual care, patients are required to be located in Ontario at the time of the scheduled appointment.)

Experience virtual medicine with us:

Virtual visits provide the same quality of care for many health concerns that don’t require you to be physically in-office.

SEAMLESS

  • During a virtual visit we go through your intake like we normally would; you will receive an in-depth assessment, access to the same conventional blood tests and functional testing methods, and of course a personalized treatment plan developed just for you. To make it easier, we walk you through all recommendations and visual aids by sharing our screen. You will also receive a digital copy of your treatment plan along with access to our online dispensary so that you can get your recommended products delivered right to your doorstep.

A PERSONAL CONNECTION

  • We take the time to listen to your journey so that we can understand all the factors affecting your health on a deeper level. After all, getting to know our patients and being an active part of their support system is our reason for being! And because our patients have their visits from the comfort of their own home, they often feel a sense of relaxation and ease.

ACCESSIBILITY & CONVENIENCE

  • For many patients not having to carve out 2 or more hours to travel to and from an appointment means they can fit their appointment more easily into their day. All you need is a good internet connection and a private space to have your visit!

COLLABORATIVE CARE

  • As advocates for your health, we are trained to screen for conditions that require a medical assessment or when collaborative health care is in your best interest. For example, you may require a physical exam, ultrasound or other medical imaging to best assess your health concerns. If after your first appointment your ND determines you require a physical exam, referral, or medical imaging your ND will recommend a follow-up with your Family Doctor or walk-in clinic. In this case your care will become collaborative - we will work with your expanded healthcare team to fit your needs.

What Can I Expect From My Naturopathic Visits?

  • New Patients Start Here

As a new patient you will first need to book a date and time for your initial visit. This visit is up to 80 minutes in length and is conducted virtually.

Next you will need to complete the intake forms - they are designed to collect your past medical history, current symptoms, and health & wellness goals. You may also forward any current bloodwork.

  • The Initial Visit & Mapping Out a Program

During this visit your Naturopathic Doctor takes an extensive health history, covering your current symptoms/diagnoses and reviewing any recent bloodwork you may already have. A holistic assessment and an individualized management strategy will begin to take shape, which may include additional lab tests, nutritional recommendations, herbs or supplementation. During this visit we will discuss expected timelines for your treatment program.

After this visit you will be provided with a digital copy of your individualized plan.

  • Your Second Visit

Prior to your second visit your Naturopathic Doctor will have reviewed your case once again along with any new lab results. Where the initial visit has laid the groundwork, the second visit serves for us to start building. A step-by-step plan will be discussed and may include nutritional counselling and meal planning to treat/prevent deficiencies, evidence-based herb or supplement recommendations to address hormones, digestion, etc. as well as lifestyle wellness recommendations.

  • Meaningful Outcomes

Getting well sooner is something we all strive for. It is important to keep in mind that health is multifaceted, and each person is unique. Your progress depends on your specific concerns and how long you have been experiencing them, as well as what changes you are able to incorporate between visits. Taking action and continuous revision are both necessary.

Follow-up visits serve to move you through a treatment plan strategically, so that we are progressively addressing all the factors affecting you. Building better health requires team effort and good communication, so patients are encouraged to keep track of their progress and provide an update for each follow-up visit.
