Naturopathic Lab Tests
How does testing make a difference?
Our caring Naturopathic Doctors may recommend ordering blood tests, urinary hormones, salivary hormones, or gastrointestinal tests in order to better investigate your health concerns. A thorough, patient-centered approach is key to providing a clear diagnosis and, of course, for planning a targeted treatment plan so you can start rebuilding your health and get back to feeling more like “you.”
Please note: Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario have rights to ordering and interpreting labs, however, labs are considered private care and not covered under OHIP. All labs ordered through the clinic are first processed for payment and then a requisition and/or test kit is then provided. A follow up appointment will then be booked to review your results.
What tests are available through my Naturopathic Doctor?
Scroll below to see our most frequently ordered health assessment blood panels. Your Naturopathic Doctor will walk you through their recommendations so that you can make an informed decision.
-
There are 3 main methods for assessing hormone levels:
Blood or serum tests
Salivary tests
Urinary tests
Your Naturopathic Doctor will work with you to determine which testing method is most appropriate for your particular health concerns. After testing is complete, your ND will receive your report and contact you to schedule an appointment to review your results together. With this information a more targeted treatment program will be tailored for you.
